Dr. Kwan Jakobsen | DO, FAAPMR
Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation | Medical Director
Dr. Kwan Jakobsen is our Medical Director here at Westbury Total Health Care, she is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has been in practice since 1997.
Her expertise is in the field of physical and rehabilitative medicine include Lymphedema Treatment, Orthopedic/Neurological musculoskeletal conditions, Trigger Point injections, conservative spine care as well as Electro diagnostic testing.
Dr. Jakobsen received her D.O. degree from her New York Institute of Technology, College of Osteopathic medicine in 1993 with honors and trained as an intern in Internal Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital. She completed her residency at the New York University Medical Center at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine. Medical training was also completed at Bellevue Hospital, the Hospital for Joint Diseases-Orthopedic Institute, Goldwater Memorial Hospital, and the New York VA Hospital.
Dr. Jakobsen has lectured on the Topic of Lymphedema at NSUH Plainview, Mercy Hospital Wound Care Center and to Lymphedema support groups on Long Island. She has spoken at various community centers on the topic of musculoskeletal conditions. She is licensed to practice in the State of New York.
Dr. Jeffrey Kornreich | MD, FAAPMR
Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation | Associate Medical Director
Dr. Kornreich is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Kornreich received his MD degree from SUNY-Brooklyn. He completed his residency training at NYU Medical Center-Rusk Institute. He is fellowship trained in Sports/Spine Rehabilitation. Dr. Kornreich has an academic appointment at NYU Medical Center and has hospital affiliations at Mercy Medical Center and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
He has expertise in outpatient and inpatient care, including treatment of Lymphedema, orthopedic and neurologic injuries, pain management, injection treatment, inpatient rehabilitation hospital care and consultations.
Dr. Ira S. Fisher | D.C., CCSP
Chiropractor, Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner | Clinic Administrator
Dr. Ira Fisher received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the New York Chiropractic College in 1986. His post doctoral education includes: certification as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner, course completion in Kinesiotape Application/Treatment Protocols and Masters Program in Whiplash: The Masters Program from the Spine Research Institute in San Diego.
Prior to founding Westbury Total health Care, one of New York's few multidisciplinary rehabilitation facilities, Dr. Fisher served as an Associate Doctor of Chiropractic at the Garden City Chiropractic Center on Long Island, and was the founder and sole practitioner of Post Chiropractic, P.C. Under his guidance, Westbury Total Health Care has become a practice dedicated to educating patients on various health topics, and to that end, Dr. Fisher has organized several "Health Talks" at the facility which address patient concerns on various wellness topics. Dr. Fisher has a firm commitment to serving in various community activities, including several outreach programs, chamber of commerce and professional networking activities. He is also the creator of "Community Patient Appreciation Day", a community event which provides cholesterol and glucose screening as well as chiropractic and podiatry services. This event has received several accolades from community leaders and colleagues and is cosponsored with several other medical professionals and the Smith/Kline/Beechum organization. He is also a participating member of many local civic and professional associations, and has received several awards recognizing his dedication to the field of chiropractic and rehabilitative care, and is currently at work on projects which aim to further educate patients on the benefits of incorporating a complete wellness program into their daily lives.
Colleen Schalk | MS, OTR/L, CLT
Occupational Therapist & Certified Lymphedema Therapist
Colleen Schalk is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist practicing at Westbury Total Health Care since 2010. Ms. Schalk received bother her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Scranton. She became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist trained under The Norton School of Lymphedema in 2008 and has over 20 years experience working in pediatrics, geriatrics, rehabilitation and had therapy. She specializes in Lymphedema working with wound care, breast cancer care as well as face and neck lymphedema. Ms. Schalk has worked in a hospital setting as well as outpatient and home care settings. Ms. Schalk has lectured at the Mercy Hospital Would Care Clinic in Long Island and is a member of the Sass Foundation to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer patients. As a Lymphedema Therapist she has trained both colleagues and students in the field. Her enthusiasm and passion for her work and her patients is an essential part of the Lymphedema therapy provided.
Malgorzata Haluda | MS, OTR/L, CLT
Occupational Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist
Malgorzata Haluda is a registered Occupational Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist who joined Westbury Total Health Care in 2016. She received her Master's Degree in occupational therapy from Mercy College and her certification in Vodder Technique of Manual Lymphatic Drainage from Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy. Malgorzata has been treating patients with complex lymphedema of upper extremities, lower extremities, breast, head and neck. Malgorzata offers her knowledge to safely measure, select and fit patients with proper compression garments.
Diane Raspanti | LMT, CLT, LANA
Certified Lymphedema Therapist, LANA Certified
Diane Raspanti has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1985, specializing in Swedish and Medical Massage. Her main concentration is in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) for the treatment of Lymphedema, both primary and secondary. Diane received her certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage in 1994 and has become Nationally Certified by LANA in October 2001. She is an active member of the National Lymphedema Network and The Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
Diane has over 26 years experience in the treatment of upper extremity, lower extremity, head, neck, face and abdomen Lymphedema. She has worked closely with physicians all around Nassau, Suffolk, Queens and Manhattan - raising Lymphedema awareness and providing prevention and treatment options. She has been a guest speaker in multiple Lymphedema seminars and has given hundreds of lectures on Lymphedema Awarness to outpatient facilities, support groups, and physician offices in New York/Long Island. Her passion and committment to the Lymphedema community is aimed on giving the best care possible.

Taylor Donohue | COTA, CLT
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Certified Lymphedema Therapist
Taylor Donohue is a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant who received her degree from Suffolk community college in 2013. She began her career working at Winthrop University Hospital for 3 years, then went onto working with the pediatric population in an outpatient school based setting. Taylor has compassion and dedication for all her patients and a wide array of experience which helped guide her decision to advance her career to Lymphedema. Taylor received her certification in Vodder Technique of Manual Lymphatic Drainage from Norton school of Lymphatic therapy and joined Westbury Total Health Care in 2020.
Sri Valli Bolla | DPT
Physical Therapist
Sri Valli Bolla earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Touro College, New York in January 2022. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, January 2012. Her professional experience includes 3 and half years in foreign and 2 and half years in the United States. Internships included Primary Health Care, Urban Health Care, Government Pediatric hospitals as well as Orthopedic, Neurosurgery and Cardiology wards in India. Initial career started in Orthopedic care for 3 continued years.
She received her Master's in Exercise Science from University of Central Missouri in December 2017 and completed the internship at Any time Fitness Center in Warrensburg, MO. She has been practicing as a New York State licensed PT in SNFs and mostly Outpatient settings. She acquired Aqua Therapy certification in 2021 and Level-1 APTA instructor status in 2022.
Briana Yim | COTA, CLT
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Certified Lymphedema Therapist
Briana Yim began her career in hospitality management; however, she took the leap to healthcare with the desire to impact people's lives in a more meaningful way. She entered LaGuardia's accelerated program to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, during which time she worked as an Activities Leader at a Skilled Nursing Facility and a Direct Support Professional at a Group Home.
Briana became a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2021 and started work with children with developmental disabilities at a clinic in Brooklyn. She enjoyed her position, but knew her passion was for the adult population, leading her to advance her career to Lymphedema. Briana received her certification in Vodder Technique of Manual Lymphatic Drainage from the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy and happily joined the team at Westbury Total Health Care in 2022.

Karina Bertoni | Front Desk Coordinator
Karina is the key liaison between our family of patients and the professional/administrative staff of Westbury Total Health Care. She is the person who will greet you and handle all the scheduling logistics to ensure you have an effortless experience at your appointment. Karina has 16 years of experience in coordinating the front desk with the patient's insurance carriers, making sure the proper referrals and medical records are received prior to their initial visit with our office. Karina makes every effort to ensure the patient has a satisfying experience at our office.
Andrea Ramkissoon | Front Desk Assistant
Andrea assists at the front desk with scheduling and verifying the patient's insurance. She is the liaison who handles all medical record requests between attorney, insurance carrier and medical office requests. Andrea helps to support the front desk and billing office contributing to the administrative organization of the office.
La Rae Jones | Office Administrator
LaRae's principal responsibility is that of medical billing and treatment authorizations. She is the individual who helps to verify your insurance coverage providing you information as to what the patients financial responsibility will be prior to starting treatment (including deductible and Copay/Co insurance amounts).
Mat Stegner | Office Manager
Mat is the individual who supervises all of your insurance billing and administrative concerns. Mat's primary responsibility is the management of all medical accounting procedures. Mat oversees many administrative areas of our office including that of insurance appeals to ensure your insurance carrier approve the care that you are entitled to.
